About the event
Join us for a peaceful beginner-friendly evening paddle in the freshwater tidal marshes of Floating Meadows—where the Coginchaug and Mattabesset Rivers meet. We will have an expansive view of the nearly full moon night sky as we float among the wild rice stands of this unique ecosystem. As we glide past silver maples, sycamores, and cottonwoods, keep an eye out for beavers, muskrats, and herons, and an eye up to the night sky to see the Perseids' Meteor Shower. Expect a beautiful night time full moon paddle with the possibility of seeing a few meteors.
All equipment included, beginner friendly.
