Glide through the vibrant summer colors of the Coginchaug and Mattabesset rivers on a beginner-friendly golden hour paddle through the heart of the freshwater tidal marsh. We will navigate lush aquatic gardens blanketed in stunning yellow waterlilies and the spiked purple blooms of pickerelweed, while keeping an eye out for painted turtles basking on sun-warmed logs. It is a peaceful, sun-drenched excursion perfect for spotting local wildlife and migrating birds. Beavers and muskrats are common here.

All equipment included. Beginner friendly, minimum physical requirements required to be able to paddle and enter and exit a sit-inside kayak.

Per request of Middletown, please park on North Main Street. It is around the corner from the launch site with plenty of parking.
